This role is part of the strategic FSP (Functional Service Provider) team responsible for long-term partnership success.


Role Summary

As Executive Director, Operational Delivery FSP, you will lead FSP strategic delivery, manage high-impact client partnerships, and ensure successful implementation of the Client FF 2.0 Operating Model. The role requires top-tier leadership, client engagement, resource management, and cross-functional collaboration to optimize performance and long-term success.


Key Responsibilities

Strategic Oversight & Execution

  • Develop and execute FSP operational strategies aligned with business objectives

  • Implement Client FF 2.0 Operating Model through structured change management

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across FSP and functional teams

Client & Partner Engagement

  • Act as the primary contact for escalations on strategic FSP accounts

  • Lead governance efforts for FSP programs and ensure alignment with client expectations

  • Collaborate with Business Development and Talent Acquisition to support proposals and growth

Resource & Talent Management

  • Partner with functional leaders to ensure resource readiness and tailored training

  • Lead, coach, and mentor the FSP Operational Delivery Leads

  • Participate in strategic talent planning and staff development initiatives

Financial & Risk Management

  • Manage project risks and escalate critical issues as needed

  • Develop FSP delivery models, KPIs, and risk management frameworks

  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cost-efficiency planning

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Coordinate governance models and internal communication for multi-department alignment

  • Support cross-divisional partnerships, strategic meetings, and executive-level briefings

  • Influence strategic priorities at the corporate and client level


Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; licensed healthcare certification a plus

  • Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered

Experience

  • 15+ years in clinical research and drug development

  • 4+ years in clinical program leadership or executive project oversight

  • Extensive experience growing and managing global client accounts in a CRO/FSP environment

Skills

  • Exceptional leadership, mentorship, and change management skills

  • Deep knowledge of CRO/FSP operating models and KPIs

  • Strong financial and commercial acumen

  • Excellent decision-making and conflict resolution ability

  • Ability to operate at both strategic and execution levels
