Position Summary:
The Senior Principal Statistician will provide biostatistical expertise and leadership across a range of projects, including health economics/modelling, evidence synthesis, trial analysis, real-world data (RWD), and value communications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead biostatistics projects in HEOR (e.g., NMA, MAIC, PSM studies, RWE, IPD analyses, Bayesian statistical approaches).

  • Develop statistical methods, protocols, and analysis plans.

  • Guide team members in coding, interpreting, and communicating statistical findings.

  • Review and ensure quality of client deliverables.

  • Support thought leadership in HEOR statistical methods and biostatistical training.

  • Develop innovative code in R, Shiny, JAGS, or other programming languages.

  • Provide mentorship and performance reviews for direct reports.

  • Support company strategic initiatives and contribute to business development.

People Leadership Responsibilities:

  • Guide and mentor team members on scientific standards, work methods, and performance.

  • Oversee departmental operations and manage staffing requirements.

  • Conduct performance reviews, authorize promotions, and administer personnel actions.

Expectations:

  • Travel: Occasional travel for client and stakeholder meetings.

  • Hours: 37.5 hours/week with flexibility for client meetings.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • PhD or MSc in Biostatistics, Statistics, Epidemiology, or related field.

  • 5-8 years of direct statistical work experience in health research, HTA, or market access.

  • Expertise in R programming, reproducible workflows, and relevant statistical methods.

  • Proven track record in HEOR and evidence synthesis.

  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
