A Day in the Life

Initial Responsibilities:

  • Work as part of a team on drug delivery development.

  • Operate, maintain, and clean laboratory and production equipment.

  • Maintain accurate lab and production records.

  • Perform basic production tasks, such as combining medicines, making capsules/tablets, and testing.

  • Follow verbal and written instructions.

  • Collaborate with other departments.

Growth Opportunities:

  • Assist scientists in developing and testing drug delivery systems at laboratory and production scales.

  • Support the calibration and maintenance of equipment and ensure compliance with quality standards.

  • Conduct basic laboratory tests (e.g., pH measurements, disintegration tests).

  • Maintain quality systems in the department.

  • Follow detailed instructions in standard operating procedures (SOPs).


Who We’re Looking For

Qualifications:

  • GCSEs or A Levels, preferably in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Maths) or similar fields.

  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, percentages, etc.).

Skills and Traits:

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Proven ability to follow procedures and guidelines.

  • Effective communication skills (oral and written).

  • Comfortable working in a controlled environment.

  • IT literacy, particularly in MS Office.

  • Self-motivated and adaptable, with the ability to work under pressure.
