Job Summary

The Senior Employee Relations Specialist serves as a trusted advisor for employee relations, offering guidance to managers and employees. The role focuses on addressing workplace concerns, conducting investigations, and promoting compliance with company policies and labor laws.


Responsibilities

Case Management:

  • Handle and resolve employee relations (ER) cases in alignment with company policies.
  • Investigate concerns, collect facts, and recommend actions.
  • Escalate complex cases to employment law teams as necessary.

Manager Support:

  • Provide guidance on workplace issues, performance management, and corrective actions.
  • Support preparation of disciplinary and performance improvement documentation.

Compliance:

  • Ensure adherence to local labor laws and Syneos Health policies.
  • Maintain awareness of trends in employee relations and share best practices.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Partner with HR, legal, and management teams to achieve case resolution.
  • Foster knowledge-sharing within the HR team.
  • Build trust with employees and managers through empathetic communication.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in HR or related field.
  • Experience: 7–9 years in HR, with 2–3 years focused on employee relations.
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
    • Strong verbal and written communication.
    • Time management and multitasking abilities.
    • Analytical skills to interpret data and identify trends.

Preferred:

  • PHR/SPHR Certification or Master’s Degree in HR.
  • Familiarity with Workday or similar HR ticketing systems.
  • Experience providing virtual employee relations support.

Additional Information

  • Travel: Up to 15% for business purposes.
