Role Overview:

The Director of US Market Access Marketing Oncology will be responsible for leading the development and execution of the US access marketing strategy for Sasanlimab and Mevrostat, two priority oncology brands. This role will focus on achieving optimal access and reimbursement for these products in the US market, aligning with broader brand goals and ensuring strategic market access outcomes for both drugs, particularly in complex oncology therapeutic areas.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Development and Execution:

  • Lead the creation and implementation of the US Access Strategy for Sasanlimab and Mevrostat, ensuring recommendations align with brand objectives, particularly regarding price and access strategies for the potential 2025 launch of Sasanlimab.
  • Develop and manage a comprehensive strategic approach for payer interactions, ensuring effective engagement with key accounts across Commercial, Medicare, and other relevant channels.
  • Collaborate closely with key stakeholders (Account Management, Market Access Strategy & Analytics, Payer Brand/Customer Marketing) to align access strategies with broader brand goals.

Team Leadership and Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Manage the Brand Access Matrix Team for both Sasanlimab and Mevrostat, a cross-functional group of experts to drive access-related strategies across departments.
  • Develop quarterly Plan of Action (POA) priorities and work collaboratively with the Account Management Team to ensure successful execution.
  • Proactively identify and address barriers to market access by leveraging knowledge of contracting and pricing strategies, analytics, and market dynamics.

Market Access Analysis and Strategy:

  • Lead the development of early market access strategies for Mevrostat, including access assessments, gross-to-net (GTN) assumptions, and negotiation strategies.
  • Continuously monitor market dynamics and healthcare trends (e.g., the impact of the Inflation Reduction Act, 340B dynamics, pharmacy benefit therapies) that affect Sasanlimab and Mevrostat.

Budget Management and Resource Allocation:

  • Oversee the USMA Brand Budget and secure funding for specific brand strategies and tactics in collaboration with commercial partners.
  • Ensure efficient allocation of resources to support the overall access strategy and tactical implementation.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required; MBA/MS/MPH, PharmD, PhD, or relevant graduate degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in the US pharmaceutical/healthcare market, specifically focusing on Market Access Marketing, Customer/Account Management, Payer Marketing, or Healthcare consulting.
  • Skills:
    • Strong business acumen and analytical skills to prioritize strategies and decisions.
    • Proven ability to develop and execute effective strategies based on market insights.
    • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.
    • Experience in a fast-paced, high-energy environment and an ability to manage ambiguity and define workstreams.

Preferred Skills and Expertise:

  • Deep understanding of US market access initiatives, including those focused on both medical and pharmacy benefit products.
  • Familiarity with market access strategies for oncology products, including pricing, contracting, and reimbursement challenges specific to oncology.
  • Insight into pre-launch planning and launch strategy for pharmaceutical products.

Job Details:

  • Travel: Ability to travel domestically based on business needs.
  • Hybrid Work: Position requires 2-3 days per week onsite.
  • Relocation: Not eligible for relocation assistance.
  • Employee Referral Bonus: Eligible.
  • Compensation: The annual base salary for this position ranges from $169,700 to $282,900, with the opportunity to earn a 20% bonus based on performance. Additional benefits include participation in Pfizer’s long-term incentive program and comprehensive health benefits (medical, dental, vision, 401k with matching contributions, etc.).
