Role Overview

The Director of Outcomes Research, Real World Evidence, and Epidemiology (CORE) will lead the development and execution of health economics, outcomes research (HEOR), and epidemiology strategies for oncology products. This role is critical in demonstrating product value to payers, shaping access strategies, and ensuring alignment with medical, brand, and market access objectives.

The position may have global or US responsibilities depending on candidate experience and fit.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement Global/US CORE strategy for oncology products aligned with brand, medical, and market access strategies.

  • Conduct and manage real-world evidence (RWE) research to demonstrate product value and support payer communications.

  • Develop customer-facing materials such as FDAMA-114, field medical decks, cost calculators, and BI tools.

  • Train field access and HEOL/MSL teams on evidence-based communication.

  • Contribute to publication strategies, presenting research at scientific conferences and forums.

  • Communicate value evidence to payers to support patient access, coverage, reimbursement, and medical policy decisions.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support CORE department objectives and pipeline assets.

  • Ensure all research is conducted with scientific rigor and aligns with regulatory and compliance standards.


Qualifications

  • Education: Master’s degree in Health Economics, Epidemiology, Public Health, Health Services Research, or Health Policy.

  • Experience: Minimum 10 years in the pharmaceutical industry or managed care, directly conducting HEOR, RWE, and epidemiology studies.

  • Oncology experience is strongly preferred.

  • Deep understanding of the healthcare marketplace, access trends, and payer communication strategies.

  • Proven ability to build strong customer relationships and influence cross-functional teams.

  • Track record of peer-reviewed publications in relevant therapeutic areas.

  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.

  • Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams under fast-paced conditions.

  • Flexibility to travel domestically and internationally (<20%).


Compensation and Benefits (US-Based Candidates)

  • Salary Range: $216,160 – $324,240 annually, with consideration of experience, skills, and location.
