Position Overview

The Consultant / Senior Consultant – HEOR & Evidence Synthesis will support the growing need for high-quality health economics and outcomes research (HEOR) and real-world evidence (RWE) to guide drug development, health technology assessment (HTA), market access, and clinical decision-making.

This Bengaluru-based role provides strategic and functional leadership across therapy area teams. The selected candidate will collaborate with global HEOR groups, including International HTA, Therapy Area teams, and Project Management, while serving as a subject matter expert for assigned brands or therapeutic areas.


Key Responsibilities

1. Document Preparation & Management (40%)

  • Lead planning, writing, editing, and reviewing of HTA and evidence-based documents.

  • Conduct detailed quality checks to ensure scientific accuracy.

  • Integrate internal and external reviewer feedback and finalize submissions.

  • Deliver high-quality materials, including reimbursement dossiers and disease-area insights.

  • Manage multiple document types and timelines with efficiency and flexibility.

  • Partner with internal teams to ensure timely and coordinated document development.

2. Knowledge & Skills Development (30%)

  • Maintain deep expertise in assigned therapeutic areas, disease states, and compounds.

  • Demonstrate advanced understanding of HEOR, RWE methods, economic evaluations, and patient-reported outcomes.

  • Stay updated on scientific disclosure, submission strategies, clinical planning, and external environmental trends.

  • Provide informal coaching, guidance, and technical support to cross-functional partners.

  • Share best practices globally and contribute to process optimization.

  • Support team-wide mentoring and capability-building initiatives.

3. Operational & Organizational Leadership (25%)

  • Ensure compliance with internal and external guidelines, standards, and policies.

  • Represent the Bengaluru HEOR capability on key global and cross-functional teams.

  • Offer leadership on technical strategy and execution to achieve organizational objectives.

  • Drive efficient project planning, risk assessment, and solution implementation.

  • Promote team engagement, recognition, collaboration, and diversity.

4. Capability Development & Stakeholder Value (5%)

  • Enhance awareness of Bengaluru HEOR capabilities across global HEOR organizations.

  • Identify new opportunities and emerging capabilities to strengthen HEOR functions.

  • Represent the team in leadership meetings at the local and global levels.


Experience & Qualification Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Doctoral degree (PhD, DrPH, ScD, MD) or Master’s degree or PharmD.

  • Minimum 7 years of demonstrated experience in health economics or health outcomes research.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience managing project plans or portfolios.

  • Strong ability to translate complex scientific information into clear, concise outputs.

  • Proven problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and environments.

Preferred Skills

  • Strong understanding of US and global healthcare systems and HTA environments.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders in matrixed organizations.

  • Capability to work efficiently across cultures, geographies, and time zones.
