About the Role

Omega Healthcare is seeking an experienced Coder Physician – Interventional Radiology (IR) to support advanced coding operations for physician services. This position is ideal for professionals with strong IR coding expertise, including complex procedures, E/M leveling, and accuracy-driven clinical documentation review. The role requires adherence to quality standards, data integrity, compliance protocols, and confidentiality regulations to support reimbursement accuracy, analytics, financial planning, and quality-of-care evaluation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review medical records and assign accurate codes for all diagnoses, procedures, DRG/APC, and charge codes.

  • Ensure precise coding for reimbursement, research, epidemiology, statistical analysis, and quality assessment.

  • Apply IR specialty coding for procedures including diagnostic angioplasty, embolization, atherectomy, thrombectomy, biopsies, drainage, and catheter or stent placement.

  • Perform strong E/M leveling and documentation validation.

  • Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information and coding processes.

  • Utilize EPIC and 3M 360 systems for coding workflow, validation, and documentation updates.

  • Support long-term coding assignments in alignment with client expectations and compliance requirements.

Experience & Qualification Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of IR Professional Coding experience with demonstrated expertise in advanced IR procedures.

  • Proficiency in E/M leveling, hospital/physician documentation review, and regulatory compliance.

  • Hands-on experience with EPIC and 3M 360 systems.

  • CIRCC certification preferred.

  • Strong understanding of coding guidelines, industry regulations, and medical terminology.
