The Opportunity: Manager, Optimization and Planning

Position Overview

The Manager, Optimization and Planning supports early clinical trial planning, protocol optimization, and innovative project management within Global Clinical Operations (GCO) – Innovative Medicines and Biosimilars.

This role focuses on utilizing industry tools like Real-World Data analytics to support study design and implement innovative methodologies such as decentralized strategies. It combines independent and collaborative efforts to drive efficient, high-quality processes across internal and external teams.


Key Responsibilities

Protocol Optimization and Early Planning

  • Lead the evaluation and optimization of protocols, including population selection, eligibility criteria, and study burden.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to develop and execute efficient planning processes.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Facilitate meetings with internal teams (operations, clinical development, procurement, health economics, finance, etc.) and external vendors (CROs and others).
  • Support the Trial Optimization and Planning (TOP) Lead in designing innovative and efficient operational strategies for early project initiatives.

Process Improvement

  • Reevaluate and redefine methodologies in optimization and planning.
  • Monitor the marketplace for emerging vendors and benchmark competitive intelligence to enhance internal processes.

Data Analysis and Presentation

  • Translate analytical insights into actionable plans and deliver presentations to diverse teams.

Global Integration

  • Promote Teva values by working effectively with global teams across nationalities and cultural backgrounds.
  • Ensure all deliverables are timely, efficient, and of high quality.

Your Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • 2-3 years in project management within clinical trial planning, feasibility, or study startup teams.
    • Experience in sponsors, CROs, or relevant vendors.
    • Proven track record in establishing new methodologies and processes.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in standard software (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
    • Strong understanding of clinical trial processes, ICH-GCP, and pharmaceutical development.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Ability to influence without direct authority.
    • Strong written and verbal English communication.
    • Excellent resource and project management abilities.
