Job Overview

The Zonal Sales Manager is responsible for planning and developing the regional sales strategy, achieving sales targets, and driving market share growth for the business. The role involves managing field force support systems and implementing core marketing strategies to meet productivity and profit objectives.

Responsibilities

  1. People Management:

    • Build and motivate the field force by setting clear goals, conducting regular performance reviews, and sharing best practices to develop a high-performing team.

    • Identify training needs, coach the field force in collaboration with SFE, and collaborate with regional training managers to build team capabilities.

    • Manage recruitment, confirmations, and probations to maintain a skilled talent pool.

  2. Process Management:

    • Analyze market data, monitor brand market share, and adjust local strategies based on competitor actions. Provide feedback to marketing on strategy effectiveness.

    • Support the marketing team in designing local campaigns to expand market share and drive sales through various initiatives (e.g., symposia, key account strategies).

    • Oversee channel management, stock availability, inventory management, and sales forecasts.

    • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, reporting adverse drug reactions to pharmacovigilance as needed.

  3. Customer Engagement:

    • Manage Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and key accounts, fostering relationships through medico-marketing activities and scientific symposia.

    • Develop partnerships with trade associations and local drug regulatory authorities to resolve issues and ensure smooth operations.

Requirements

  • Education: Graduate, preferably in Life Sciences.

  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years in the sales function with an HCP team, consistent success in sales and achieving brand KPIs.

  • Geographical Mobility: Willingness to travel across the country.
