BPO Medical Records Coding Senior Representative

Job Overview
We are seeking a meticulous and motivated Medical Records Coding Senior Representative to join our healthcare BPO operations in Coimbatore. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately translating healthcare documentation, including diagnoses, procedures, and medical services, into standardized medical alphanumeric codes. Your work will ensure uniform documentation across medical facilities, support billing processes, and enhance clinical data integrity.
Key Responsibilities
Review clinical statements and medical documentation to assign standard medical codes.
Convert healthcare diagnoses, procedures, medical services, and equipment into universal alphanumeric codes.
Create and maintain a consistent vocabulary for describing causes of injury, illness, and medical interventions.
Ensure accuracy and uniformity in documentation across medical facilities.
Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with clients regarding coding clarifications.
Requirements
0–1 year of experience in Healthcare BPO or medical coding environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, BPT, Pharmacy, or Nursing.
Strong understanding of human anatomy and physiology.
Proficient in computer usage including Windows PC applications, typing, navigating screens, and learning new software tools.
Ability to work scheduled shifts from Monday to Friday (7:30 AM to 5:30 PM IST), with flexibility for shift changes, overtime, and weekend work as needed.
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
Preferred Skills
Attention to detail and accuracy in coding assignments.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Familiarity with standard medical coding practices and documentation guidelines.
