Position Overview
We are seeking an MBBS doctor who is interested in technology, artificial intelligence, and healthcare product development rather than conventional hospital practice.
The role involves working closely with product, technology, and data science teams to develop, refine, test, and validate AI-driven medical tools designed for the US healthcare market.
The selected candidate will act as a medical subject matter expert, helping define clinical requirements, reviewing AI-generated outputs, identifying potential risks, and ensuring that products meet appropriate standards of medical accuracy, quality, and patient safety.
Key Responsibilities
US Healthcare Knowledge
Understand US healthcare workflows and guidelines relevant to the assigned product.
Develop familiarity with US medical terminology and healthcare practices.
Understand the fundamentals of Electronic Health Records (EHR) and Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
Continuously learn about US healthcare standards, clinical practices, terminology, and best practices.
Apply medical knowledge to healthcare technology and AI-based product development.
Clinical Requirements and Product Development
Work closely with Product Managers to translate clinical knowledge into product requirements.
Convert medical logic into clear rules, workflows, decision trees, and process flows for AI tools.
Help define clinical use cases and expected system behavior.
Review medical content and ensure that clinical information is accurate and appropriate.
Identify edge cases, exceptions, and clinically important scenarios that should be incorporated into the product.
Support the development and refinement of AI-driven healthcare solutions.
AI Output Review and Validation
Review AI-generated outputs for medical accuracy, relevance, consistency, and safety.
Identify incorrect, incomplete, or potentially unsafe AI outputs.
Provide clear medical feedback to improve AI model performance and product functionality.
Participate in testing and validation of new AI features.
Develop and review clinical test cases.
Contribute to validation protocols and quality checks.
Ensure that AI-driven tools perform appropriately across different clinical scenarios.
Collaboration with Technology Teams
Work closely with developers, data scientists, designers, and product managers.
Explain medical concepts and clinical workflows clearly to technical teams.
Translate complex medical requirements into structured and understandable specifications.
Challenge assumptions and suggest improvements when necessary.
Participate in cross-functional discussions related to product design and development.
Help bridge the gap between medical expertise and technology implementation.
Medical Content and Clinical Logic
Design and review medical content used within healthcare technology products.
Develop and validate clinical decision trees and workflows.
Document medical logic in a structured and easy-to-understand format.
Define appropriate clinical rules and expected outcomes.
Identify potential clinical exceptions and edge cases.
Ensure medical content is aligned with applicable healthcare practices and product requirements.
Quality and Patient Safety
Maintain a strong focus on medical quality and patient safety.
Participate in quality assurance activities for AI-driven medical products.
Identify potential clinical risks and communicate them to the appropriate teams.
Support systematic testing and validation of product features.
Ensure that medical decisions and logic incorporated into the product are clinically appropriate.
Contribute to continuous improvement of product quality and safety.
Required Skills and Attributes
MBBS degree.
