Work Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday: 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM IST

  • Flexibility for overtime and weekend work as per business requirements


About the Role

As a Medical Records Coding Analyst, you will play a key role in transforming healthcare documentation into standardized medical codes. You will ensure accuracy, compliance, and consistency in the coding of diagnoses, procedures, and medical services, contributing to the smooth functioning of healthcare revenue cycle operations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Review and interpret clinical documentation to understand patient diagnoses.

  • Accurately assign medical codes for diagnoses, procedures, and services using standard alphanumeric systems.

  • Ensure uniform documentation and terminology across medical facilities.

  • Support the creation of a consistent medical vocabulary describing causes of illness, injury, and death.

  • Identify and highlight documentation deficiencies for improvement.

  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to guide and support new coders.


Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum 3+ years in Healthcare BPO (preferably EM Multispecialty).

  • Certification: CPC (Certified Professional Coder) certification is mandatory.

  • Skills:

    • Strong knowledge in Evaluation & Management (E/M) outpatient coding, multispecialty, and procedure codes.

    • Proficiency in using Windows-based applications and navigating multiple software tools.

    • Excellent English communication skills (oral and written).

  • Flexibility:

    • Must be open to working overtime or on weekends based on client needs.

  • Ability to work independently and ensure accuracy under deadlines.

  • Strong analytical and documentation review skills.

  • Experience mentoring or supporting new team members (SME-level experience preferred).
