AVP, Healthcare Provider Deal Originator (Hybrid – Irving, TX)

Job Summary:
Cognizant is seeking a visionary AVP, Healthcare Provider Deal Originator to drive large-scale transformation deals ($100M+) in the provider space. Based in Irving, TX with a hybrid work model, this strategic executive role requires deep healthcare domain expertise, strong C-level networks, and the ability to identify and lead complex, multi-service line pursuits that reshape healthcare delivery using modern digital platforms. This is a high-impact opportunity to define Cognizant’s future in the healthcare provider market.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage and influence C-suite executives in the healthcare provider sector.

  • Lead end-to-end solutioning and strategic deal origination for large-scale opportunities ($100M+).

  • Identify market trends and shape transformative technology strategies for providers.

  • Champion multi-stakeholder pursuits with internal teams and external partners.

  • Create business value through tech debt elimination, modernization, and innovation.

  • Build and strengthen relationships with industry analysts, hyperscalers, and ecosystem partners.

  • Guide solution estimation, commercials, and executive-level communication for complex bids.

  • Orchestrate cross-functional teams to ensure high win probability and successful delivery.

  • Develop and implement integration strategies for newly acquired healthcare businesses.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 12+ years of experience, including 8+ years in executive-level roles in IT services, consulting, or provider leadership.

  • Strong network of healthcare provider executives (VP and C-suite).

  • Proven ability to originate and close large deals ($50M+), preferably in provider organizations.

  • Experience leading healthcare transformation initiatives and global delivery teams.

  • Exceptional business acumen, executive presence, and communication skills.

  • Thought leadership demonstrated via speaking, publications, or industry influence.

  • Strategic expertise in provider operations, digital modernization, and cloud platforms.

  • Master’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.
