Job Overview

As the Associate Director, CTF Product Owner within Clinical Trial Foundations (CTF), you will support the development and implementation of innovative and reliable systems for managing clinical trials. This role will focus on optimizing trial management systems, including business process management, vendor management, and technology integration. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Clinical Design, Delivery & Analytics (CDDA), Quality, IDS, and Procurement, to drive the success of these systems and ensure their seamless functionality.

Key Responsibilities

  1. System Technology and Process Implementation

    • Act as System Owner for new capabilities that support drug development, ensuring integration across technology platforms.
    • Lead the creation and application of product requirements in collaboration with end users, business leaders, and technology teams.
    • Manage all phases of product development, including design, development, testing, and deployment.
    • Drive the prioritization of product backlog items and manage lifecycle management.
    • Conduct User Interface testing for product releases and ensure timely execution.
    • Ensure quality and operational excellence of the systems by supporting performance and tracking operational metrics.
    • Develop and deliver end user training materials and lead training sessions.
  2. Technology Adoption

    • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including cross-functional teams and external vendors.
    • Manage operational issues and support technical problem-solving for system-related challenges.
    • Act as the main point of contact for product technology teams and customers, ensuring system issues are addressed swiftly.
  3. Communication

    • Create and deliver communications related to product releases for diverse audiences.
    • Serve as a liaison between end users, process owners, and technology teams.
    • Provide coaching and training to ensure the effective implementation and adoption of the technology products.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or related field (e.g., engineering, mathematics).
  • Experience: At least 3 years of relevant experience in systems management or product ownership in a clinical trial or healthcare technology environment.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in technology, science, or health-related field.
  • Previous experience working as a product owner, specifically in clinical trial systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of Agile methodologies and product management.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to anticipate and address challenges proactively.
  • Experience with vendor management and business management processes, including quality systems and process management.
  • Proven track record in leading the implementation of emerging technologies and system upgrades.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and customer-focused skills.

Additional Information

  • Location: Indianapolis, Indiana
  • Travel: Limited, 0-10%
  • Compensation: $111,000 - $162,800, based on qualifications and experience. Eligible for performance-based bonus.
