Role Summary:

The Associate Director – Marketing, Diabetes is responsible for leading strategic and tactical brand management for Lilly’s diabetes portfolio in India. This includes affiliate brand strategy, customer engagement, sales planning, promotional campaigns, team development, and overseeing new product launches in alignment with corporate objectives.


Key Responsibilities

1. Brand Strategy & Planning

  • Adapt and implement global brand strategies to suit Indian market dynamics.

  • Analyze market trends, competitors, and customer segmentation to formulate strategic plans.

2. Brand Planning & Budgeting

  • Build brand strategies based on financial forecasts and opportunity assessments.

  • Define patient targeting strategies, stakeholder communications, and ROI analysis.

  • Track brand performance via surveys and KPIs.

3. Sales Planning

  • Set patient targets, segment customers, and customize brand messaging.

  • Plan and manage marketing budgets and campaign activities (e.g., sponsorships, contests).

4. Promotional Material Design

  • Develop compliant, compelling promotional templates and content.

  • Coordinate with vendors, regulatory, and supply chain for import and delivery.

5. Team Capability Development

  • Train and upskill the field force on brand messaging.

  • Collaborate with the training and medical teams to optimize sales effectiveness.

6. Customer Engagement

  • Plan and execute HCP engagement and patient awareness programs.

  • Facilitate key opinion leader (KOL) interactions and event participation.

7. Channel Management

  • Monitor and manage third-party vendors and retail programs.

  • Oversee sampling logistics and awareness campaigns for retailers and paramedics.

8. New Product Launches

  • Assess market potential and competitor landscape.

  • Build and execute launch plans, ensuring timely execution.

9. Compliance

  • Adhere to Lilly’s compliance framework and local regulatory standards.

  • Uphold company values through ethical marketing practices.

  • 8–10 years of experience in brand management, ideally within the pharmaceutical industry
