Role Summary:

The Associate Director – Employee Health & Wellbeing Programme will lead the Global Mental Health and Wellbeing Strategy at GSK. This pivotal role focuses on designing, managing, and evolving evidence-based global programmes that improve employee mental health, resilience, and overall wellbeing.

As a Global Health & Wellbeing Programme Lead for Mental Health, you’ll work across cultures and geographies, partnering with internal and external stakeholders to promote preventive care, reduce stigma, and enhance access to tools and resources that support employee mental health.


Key Responsibilities:

Programme Design & Strategy

  • Conduct comprehensive needs assessments through data review (health data, claims, Health Risk Assessments, gap analysis).

  • Design evidence-based mental health programmes aligned with clinical guidelines and behavioural science principles.

  • Develop, pilot, and scale health and wellbeing interventions globally with clear KPIs and impact goals.

  • Lead initiatives like Mental Health Matters training and Team Resilience programmes.

Implementation & Management

  • Manage and collaborate with vendors and external partners to ensure programme efficiency, quality, and scalability.

  • Partner with Regional Health Promotion Leads to adapt programmes to local business needs and cultural contexts.

  • Align with Global Communications and Digital Teams to deliver impactful engagement campaigns and resources.

Monitoring & Evaluation

  • Measure and report programme participation, engagement, impact, and cost-effectiveness.

  • Incorporate qualitative and quantitative feedback to refine and improve initiatives.

  • Contribute to updating GSK Global Mental Health Standards.


Required Qualifications & Experience:

🎓 Education:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Health Promotion, Public Health, Occupational Health, Psychology, or Behavioural Science.

💼 Experience:

  • 15+ years total experience, with 5+ years in public health, behaviour change, health promotion, or global wellbeing programme management.

🧠 Core Requirements:

  • Proven record in designing, implementing, and evaluating global health & wellbeing programmes.

  • Strong consulting and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders.

  • Data-driven decision-making and vendor management expertise.

  • Exceptional communication, emotional intelligence, and relationship-building skills.

  • Strong project management, accountability, and strategic thinking.


Preferred Qualifications: (Not mandatory)

  • Experience in the global pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.

  • Familiarity with Employee Health & Wellbeing or Employee Benefits.

  • Experience using AI, analytics, and digital tools to drive engagement.

  • Qualifications or research experience in Mental Health practice.
