Job Summary

The Lead – Analytical Development will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing analytical projects aligned with priorities and timelines. The role involves providing analytical support for stability testing, method development, validation, transfer, and other R&D or formulation-related analytical requests.

This position demands scientific expertise, leadership, and stakeholder management to ensure high-quality analytical deliverables within agreed timelines.


Key Roles & Responsibilities

Analytical Operations

  • Plan and execute analytical projects in alignment with R&D priorities and timelines.

  • Oversee stability testing, method development/validation, method transfer, and related analytical activities.

  • Ensure timely analytical delivery and compliance with internal quality systems and regulatory standards.

Documentation & Review

  • Prepare and review technical documents such as stability reports, method validation protocols/reports, and method transfer documents.

  • Review analytical data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with quality and GLP standards (lab notebooks, raw data, system entries).

  • Support and document laboratory non-conformances and ensure appropriate resolution.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Communicate effectively with project leaders, product development teams, analytical scientists, and external business partners.

  • Coordinate with external laboratories, provide necessary training, and ensure compliance with quality expectations.

  • Facilitate productivity improvement through optimal resource planning and utilization.

Compliance & Quality Assurance

  • Ensure adherence to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and internal quality systems.

  • Support analytical methods and process compliance as per Quality Assurance requirements.

  • Stay current with evolving regulatory guidelines and analytical trends (AOAC, BIS, etc.).


Qualifications & Experience

Educational Qualification

  • M.Sc. in Chemistry or Food Science, or

  • B.Tech/M.Tech in Dairy Technology

Experience

  • 3–6 years of experience in Analytical Development, specifically working with nutritional product portfolios.


Skills & Attributes

Technical Skills

  • Strong understanding of analytical chemistry, techniques, stability assessments, and research methodologies.

  • Expertise in data review, interpretation, and accurate documentation of analytical results.

  • Familiarity with analytical standards from AOAC, BIS, and other regulatory bodies.

  • Working knowledge of GLP, Quality Systems, SOPs, and global regulatory expectations.

  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for technical documentation and reporting.

  • Ability to collaborate with external labs and third-party manufacturing sites to support development needs.

  • Proven ability to troubleshoot analytical issues across diverse product matrices.
