Job Overview

The Manager – Medical Reviewer is responsible for signal detection and pharmacovigilance activities to ensure the benefit-risk assessment of client medicinal products. This role involves collaboration, regulatory support, and safety evaluation.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform signal detection for client medicinal products and assess benefit-risk balance

  • Collaborate with the signal detection team across functional areas to resolve issues and improve efficiency

  • Provide input into regulatory authority or healthcare professional inquiries regarding safety issues

  • Assist in training team members on signal detection and pharmacovigilance processes

  • Conduct literature reviews to select ICSRs and articles relevant to signal detection

  • Compare client product labels with reference/innovator labels and recommend changes

  • Communicate urgent safety issues to Line Manager and QPPV

  • Draft Health Hazard Assessment Reports


Required Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of Pharmacovigilance experience or relevant experience in signal detection/PSUR


Educational Qualification

  • MBBS / MD in Pharmacology


Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of pharmacovigilance processes and signal detection methodologies

  • Ability to analyze safety data and make evidence-based recommendations

  • Effective communication skills for internal teams and regulatory authorities

  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality
