⚙️ About the Job
The Production Technician will support the downstream processing (Clarification & Purification) and buffer preparation areas of Sanofi’s cGMP commercial manufacturing facility for Flublok Drug Substance.
You’ll operate and maintain general manufacturing equipment under supervision, following cGMP and safety guidelines, ensuring high-quality and compliant production.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
Operate, clean, sanitize, and maintain downstream processing equipment, including stainless-steel vessels, transfer lines, peristaltic pumps, and WFI taps.
Execute large-scale manufacturing techniques:
Centrifugation
Depth filtration
Chromatography column purification and packing
Tangential flow filtration (TFF)
Clean-in-place (CIP) and steam-in-place (SIP) operations
Prepare and manage buffer solutions, raw materials, and components (FIFO compliance).
Perform in-process testing (pH, conductivity, turbidity) and maintain accurate documentation (GDP standards).
Participate in cleaning and preparation of workspaces and biosafety cabinets using aseptic technique.
Support troubleshooting and preventive maintenance of equipment.
Ensure compliance with SOPs, deviation reporting, and CAPA processes.
Collaborate across departments to resolve quality and operational issues.
Work flexible schedules, including weekends and extended hours, as required by production needs.
🧠 About You
Qualifications
Education:
High School Diploma with ≥1 year of work experience, or
Bachelor’s Degree with 0 years of experience
Preferred Experience:
cGMP manufacturing training or biopharma production experience
Familiarity with BEVS (Baculovirus Expression Vector System) is a plus
Skills & Knowledge
Strong understanding of cGMP, GDP, and SOPs
Excellent documentation and communication skills
Team-oriented mindset with problem-solving initiative
Ability to analyze and interpret manufacturing data
Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long intervals
Work Conditions
May require 50+ hour workweeks based on production needs
Frequent weekend or split-shift work
Potential exposure to hazardous materials (safety protocols provided)
