Opportunity Overview

The Therapy Development Specialist for Abbott's Structural Heart Division will be a key member of the clinical study team. You will be responsible for driving clinical trial enrollment and supporting therapy development efforts, particularly in the Houston/Dallas region. The role involves collaborating closely with investigators, research coordinators, and healthcare professionals to ensure smooth execution of clinical trials and therapy development activities.


What You’ll Work On

  • Develop & Maintain Relationships: Build and maintain relationships with key physicians and stakeholders to support clinical trial enrollment and therapy development.
  • Streamline Patient Screening: Assist in streamlining the patient screening process at participating sites to ensure optimal enrollment.
  • Educational and Referral Activities: Conduct educational programs and referral activities to increase awareness and adoption of therapy development.
  • Operational Focus: Handle day-to-day tasks related to patient screening, tracking enrollment progress, and organizing awareness activities.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required (Advanced degree preferred). Degree in the sciences, medicine, or a related discipline is highly preferred.
  • Experience: At least 5+ years of experience in a field-based role within the medical device industry, with knowledge of both sales and clinical research (field clinical affairs experience is a plus).
  • Skills:
    • Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) with the ability to engage across all levels of the organization.
    • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
    • Demonstrated experience in educational programs for healthcare professionals.
    • Familiarity with cath lab procedures and protocol.
    • Ability to work in a matrixed and geographically diverse environment.
    • Strong organizational, leadership, and follow-up skills.
  • Travel Requirement: Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.

Compensation

  • Base Pay Range: $75,300.00 – $150,700.00, with potential variations depending on location.
