Job Summary

Novartis is hiring a Team Leader – Medical Communications for its Hyderabad office (Hybrid mode). This leadership role focuses on the end-to-end delivery of medical communication projects, ensuring top-quality outputs, client satisfaction, and team performance. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage delivery of medical communications projects for assigned brands.

  • Ensure timely, high-quality, and budget-compliant execution.

  • Oversee project workflows, quality control, and issue resolution.

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Content Development – US Medical Affairs team.

  • Handle project prioritization, resource allocation, and workload balancing.

  • Implement management control systems to meet compliance and process standards.

  • Drive stakeholder communication and feedback for continuous improvement.

  • Identify and implement productivity and efficiency enhancements.

  • Monitor KPIs, report progress, and strive for operational excellence.

  • Recruit, evaluate, and develop team members while fostering a collaborative culture.

  • Ensure compliance with internal SOPs and industry best practices.


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • M.Sc./M.Pharm in scientific disciplines (mandatory).

  • Preferred: Doctoral Degree (PhD/MBBS/MD) or MBA.

  • 3–6 years in the Medical Communications field (Pharma or agencies).

  • 2–4 years of proven team leadership or management experience.

  • Strong knowledge of medical communication processes.

  • Effective stakeholder management and communication skills.

  • Proficiency in managing multi-project environments.

  • Familiarity with compliance guidelines in pharmaceutical communications.

  • Strong coaching, mentoring, and team development abilities.
