Supervisor, Product Analysis – Abbott, Burlington, MA (On-site)

Job Summary:

Abbott’s Heart Failure Division in Burlington, MA is hiring a Supervisor, Product Analysis to lead its Complaint Handling Group. This role oversees complaint evaluation processes, supervises team members, ensures adherence to regulatory standards, and identifies improvements to optimize complaint closure activities. This is a key leadership opportunity to ensure product quality and regulatory compliance within Abbott’s innovative heart failure solutions division.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct supervision of Complaint Handling Group members responsible for complaint case evaluations and closures.

  • Assign and monitor weekly caseloads to Product Analysis Engineers.

  • Coach, counsel, and formally evaluate team performance.

  • Ensure complaint evaluations and closures are conducted with accuracy and adherence to procedures and documentation standards.

  • Drive process improvements and resolve efficiency gaps in complaint handling activities.

  • Identify and communicate product complaint trends to senior management promptly.

  • Maintain compliance with Corporate and Divisional Policies.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in complaint investigations and evaluations within a regulated industry.

  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.

  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including Customer Support, Manufacturing, R&D, and Field Teams.

  • Ability to make autonomous decisions regarding complaint documentation and process improvements.

  • Experience in medical device complaint handling is an advantage.
