Job Purpose

The Strategy & Operations Hub Manager is responsible for the implementation and execution of strategy, communication, and change management at a hub level. This role plays a critical function in supporting business continuity, strategic initiatives, and portfolio delivery, ensuring seamless execution of global priorities within the hub.


Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning & Execution

  • Drive the translation, implementation, and execution of the global strategic plan at the hub level.
  • Develop and execute business continuity strategic initiatives in collaboration with country teams.
  • Identify strategic solutions to enhance clinical study execution and overall hub performance.
  • Ensure standardized and best-in-class solutions and systems are adopted across the hub.

Change Management & Transformation

  • Support global and hub-wide transformation initiatives, including change management and cultural evolution.
  • Facilitate the integration of new processes, tools, and data insights to improve productivity.
  • Act as a change agent, driving mindset shifts and fostering a culture of innovation and operational excellence.

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

  • Develop and implement the hub communication strategy, ensuring effective information flow.
  • Build strategic partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to align priorities and drive collaboration.
  • Collect, compile, and present stakeholder feedback to ensure country needs are integrated into global/hub strategy.
  • Act as a liaison between hub leadership and global strategy teams, ensuring consistent messaging and alignment.

Data Analysis & Performance Management

  • Conduct quantitative analyses and business insights to drive efficiency and productivity.
  • Provide strategic input to the SSO Strategy & Operations Hub Head and Leadership Team (LT).
  • Support performance tracking, process improvements, and productivity projects.

Skills & Qualifications

Required Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in pharmaceutical development, preferably in Clinical Research.
  • Expertise in strategy, operations, and project management within pharmaceutical processes.
  • Proven experience in performance management, process redesign, and productivity enhancement.
  • Understanding of international drug development processes, including GCP/ICH standards and regulatory compliance (FDA/EMA, local health authorities).
  • Strong ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and adapt to evolving business needs.
  • Experience in matrix organizations, with demonstrated ability to influence without direct authority.

Technical & Soft Skills

  • Strategic Thinking & Decision Making – Ability to synthesize complex data and make informed business decisions.
  • Change Management & Innovation – Skilled in driving transformational change and continuous improvement.
  • Project Management – Proficiency in project finance, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Communication & Leadership – Strong presentation, networking, and collaboration skills.
  • Technical Proficiency – Experience with quantitative analysis, productivity tools, and strategic planning methodologies.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary Range: $138,600 - $257,400 per year (subject to market adjustments).
  • Total Compensation Package:
    • Sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards (as applicable).
