Job Title:

Director, Cybersecurity Regulatory Affairs – Remote (Washington, DC-Based)


Job Summary:

IQVIA is hiring a Director of Cybersecurity Regulatory Affairs to support strategic client-facing initiatives in medical device cybersecurity compliance and FDA regulations. This fully remote role offers a unique opportunity to influence global cybersecurity strategy across the life sciences and healthcare sectors. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in FDA cybersecurity compliance, threat modeling, and pre-market cybersecurity submissions for medical devices.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Interface with clients to develop regulatory-compliant documentation for medical device marketing applications

  • Conduct cybersecurity risk assessments and vulnerability analysis of medical devices

  • Provide strategic guidance for cybersecurity system testing, validation, and compliance

  • Review and improve client policies and procedures in line with FDA and federal cybersecurity standards

  • Research, track, and apply evolving cybersecurity trends and federal regulations

  • Stay current on US medical device regulatory and FDA cybersecurity guidance


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred

  • 5–10 years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, or FDA cybersecurity regulatory roles

  • 3+ years in consulting or client-facing roles, preferably in healthcare or medical devices

  • Strong understanding of FDA pre- and post-market cybersecurity requirements

  • Familiarity with ISO 14971, TIR57, NIST framework, ISO 27001, CIS controls

  • Experience with threat modeling, ethical hacking, encryption, penetration testing

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for client interaction

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive approach in dynamic environments

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage shifting priorities
