MSL Associate Director – Hepatology & Infectious Diseases | Remote – North America

IQVIA is seeking a seasoned Medical Science Liaison (MSL) Associate Director with expertise in hepatology and/or infectious diseases to lead scientific engagement across North America. This high-impact, field-based role combines clinical insight, coaching responsibility, and strategic communication to support clinical trial efforts and drive peer-to-peer education within liver disease and virology domains. Ideal for professionals looking to advance leadership in Medical Affairs within a fast-paced, patient-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead field-based MSL engagements across the US & Canada, primarily in hepatology/infectious disease

  • Provide peer-to-peer clinical education on viral liver disease and related therapeutic areas

  • Mentor and coach MSLs, supporting their development and performance excellence

  • Develop and execute business plans aligned with organizational goals

  • Participate in clinical trial discussions and advisory board initiatives

  • Present clinical and scientific data at congresses, advisory events, and meetings

  • Serve as a regulatory-compliant medical and scientific resource

  • Deliver actionable insights to internal stakeholders

  • Represent IQVIA and client interests at scientific and educational forums

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Advanced clinical degree (PharmD, MD, PhD preferred); Master’s degree required

  • Minimum 1 year of therapeutic experience in hepatology or infectious diseases preferred

  • Prior MSL experience is required

  • Strong knowledge of FDA and US medical device regulatory frameworks

  • Familiarity with clinical trials, regulatory communication, and scientific exchange guidelines

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM tools (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, etc.)

  • Willingness to travel up to 70% across North America

  • Valid driver’s license required
