Associate Director, Clinical Project Management – Remote (USA)
IQVIA, a global leader in healthcare and clinical research, is hiring an Associate Director, Clinical Project Management to lead global clinical studies across multiple regions and therapeutic areas. This strategic, home-based role focuses on operational excellence, stakeholder engagement, and financial accountability in large, multi-country studies. Key Responsibilities:
Lead bid defense preparation and presentations with Business Development
Translate study strategies into operational delivery plans
Manage global clinical studies from pre-award to close-out, ensuring quality, budget, and timeline adherence
Act as the primary point of contact with clients, ensuring exceptional communication and delivery
Set objectives and oversee performance for core study teams
Resolve project issues and risks with contingency planning
Mentor junior project managers and contribute to staff development
Ensure project profitability through efficient resource and milestone management
Support corporate initiatives and continuous improvement efforts
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or related field (required)
10+ years of clinical research experience, including 5–7 years in global clinical project management
In-depth therapeutic knowledge in one or more areas: Internal Medicine, CNS, Immunology, Women’s Health, Gastroenterology, CRM, Early Development, or Oncology
Strong leadership, client management, and cross-functional collaboration skills
Proven ability to drive study success and project profitability
Willingness to travel as needed
