Associate Director, Clinical Project Management – Remote (USA)

IQVIA, a global leader in healthcare and clinical research, is hiring an Associate Director, Clinical Project Management to lead global clinical studies across multiple regions and therapeutic areas. This strategic, home-based role focuses on operational excellence, stakeholder engagement, and financial accountability in large, multi-country studies. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead bid defense preparation and presentations with Business Development

  • Translate study strategies into operational delivery plans

  • Manage global clinical studies from pre-award to close-out, ensuring quality, budget, and timeline adherence

  • Act as the primary point of contact with clients, ensuring exceptional communication and delivery

  • Set objectives and oversee performance for core study teams

  • Resolve project issues and risks with contingency planning

  • Mentor junior project managers and contribute to staff development

  • Ensure project profitability through efficient resource and milestone management

  • Support corporate initiatives and continuous improvement efforts

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or related field (required)

  • 10+ years of clinical research experience, including 5–7 years in global clinical project management

  • In-depth therapeutic knowledge in one or more areas: Internal Medicine, CNS, Immunology, Women’s Health, Gastroenterology, CRM, Early Development, or Oncology

  • Strong leadership, client management, and cross-functional collaboration skills

  • Proven ability to drive study success and project profitability

  • Willingness to travel as needed
