Position Summary:

The Associate Director, Professional Education – Interdisciplinary Care is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive medical education strategy targeting interdisciplinary non-implanting providers involved in the Heart Recovery product portfolio. This includes clinicians such as Heart Failure specialists, Critical Care professionals, APPs, and Hospital/IDN Administrators.

This leader will oversee educational activities to support physician program directors and broader care teams, enhance understanding of products and procedures, and improve institutional best practices.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategy & Insights

  • Develop and implement tailored education strategies for interdisciplinary healthcare providers and hospital stakeholders.

  • Execute educational activities such as courses, workshops, webinars, and peer-to-peer initiatives (virtual and in-person).

  • Focus content on clinical use, workflow integration, health economics, and compliance.

  • Create metrics and KPIs to measure program effectiveness (e.g., feedback, assessments, outcomes).

2. People Leadership & Development

  • Recruit, coach, and manage a team of Professional Education Managers.

  • Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performance culture.

  • Conduct regular 1:1s, team meetings, performance reviews, and development planning.

  • Oversee hiring, onboarding, and team readiness.

3. HCP Engagement

  • Build strong relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and institutions.

  • Understand the educational needs of HCPs and hospital stakeholders.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Medical Affairs, Marketing, Sales, Product Development, and Strategic teams.

  • Translate complex clinical/product info into operationally relevant content for diverse audiences (e.g., C-Suite, clinicians, supply chain).

4. Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure strict adherence to regulatory requirements, industry codes, and company policies.

  • Maintain accreditation standards for medical events and activities.


Required Qualifications:

  • Education:

    • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field (required)

    • Master’s degree (MBA) (preferred)

  • Experience:

    • Minimum 5 years of clinical/training experience in Cardiovascular, MCS, or healthcare administration education OR
      equivalent sales/marketing experience in medical device/pharma

    • 2+ years of experience leading a full-service professional education team

    • 3+ years of people management experience with a proven track record

    • Cardiovascular medical device industry experience preferred

  • Skills & Knowledge:

    • Strong understanding of hospital operations, administration, and interdisciplinary care

    • Established relationships with KOLs in relevant specialties

    • Excellent communication, strategic planning, and cross-functional collaboration

    • Ability to tailor communication to clinical and non-clinical stakeholders

    • Familiarity with compliance, regulatory affairs, and continuing education standards


Compensation & Benefits:

Base Salary Range:

$137,000.00 – $174,250.00 (based on experience and location)

Incentives:

Eligible for annual performance-based bonus (cash)
