Job Summary

Pfizer is hiring a Senior Statistical Data Scientist for its R&D operations in Chennai, India. This hybrid role is ideal for experienced statistical programmers passionate about clinical development, data standards, and global pharmaceutical research. You’ll contribute to high-quality programming deliverables across medium to high complexity studies supporting Pfizer's mission of breakthroughs that change patients' lives.


Key Responsibilities

  • Independently deliver medium-to-high complexity statistical programming tasks.

  • Ensure timely and quality-compliant programming outputs aligned with Pfizer standards.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including clinicians and statisticians.

  • Support study/project/portfolio/standards teams with programming deliverables.

  • Handle study programming activities with limited supervision.

  • Actively engage in self-learning and technical growth.

  • Contribute to local and global Statistical Data Sciences and Analytics (SDSA) initiatives.


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong experience in statistical programming within the pharmaceutical or CRO industry.

  • Proficiency in SAS, R, or similar statistical tools.

  • Solid understanding of clinical trial data standards, CDISC, SDTM, and ADaM.

  • Familiarity with GxP compliance, ICH-GCP, and regulatory submission standards.

  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills across global teams.

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, Computer Science, or related field.

  • Typically requires 5+ years of relevant experience.
