Job Summary
Pfizer is hiring a Senior Statistical Data Scientist for its R&D operations in Chennai, India. This hybrid role is ideal for experienced statistical programmers passionate about clinical development, data standards, and global pharmaceutical research. You’ll contribute to high-quality programming deliverables across medium to high complexity studies supporting Pfizer's mission of breakthroughs that change patients' lives.
Key Responsibilities
Independently deliver medium-to-high complexity statistical programming tasks.
Ensure timely and quality-compliant programming outputs aligned with Pfizer standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including clinicians and statisticians.
Support study/project/portfolio/standards teams with programming deliverables.
Handle study programming activities with limited supervision.
Actively engage in self-learning and technical growth.
Contribute to local and global Statistical Data Sciences and Analytics (SDSA) initiatives.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Strong experience in statistical programming within the pharmaceutical or CRO industry.
Proficiency in SAS, R, or similar statistical tools.
Solid understanding of clinical trial data standards, CDISC, SDTM, and ADaM.
Familiarity with GxP compliance, ICH-GCP, and regulatory submission standards.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills across global teams.
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, Computer Science, or related field.
Typically requires 5+ years of relevant experience.
