Position Overview:

Roche, the global leader in companion diagnostics, offers an exciting opportunity for a Pathologist to contribute to the development of innovative, life-saving therapies for cancer patients. You will provide essential pathology and slide reading support for FDA submissions, clinical trials, and key Pharma clients. This role is based in Tucson, AZ, and involves working with cutting-edge technologies like multiplex immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, and digital pathology.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Pathology Support:

    • Provide pathology expertise and slide reading support for FDA submissions and clinical trials.
    • Collaborate with Pharma clients, offering support for clinical trial pathology and assay development.
  • R&D Collaboration:

    • Support the development of primary antibodies, detection systems, probes, and special stains for research.
    • Contribute to project core teams as a medical representative and provide advice on pathology-related aspects.
    • Drive continuous process improvement to enhance the efficiency of R&D operations.
  • Medical Insights:

    • Offer expert advice on future pathology and medical needs to ensure Roche stays ahead of industry advancements.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Education:

    • M.D./D.O. in Pathology with US Board Certification in Anatomic Pathology.
  • Licensing:

    • Active State License in Pathology.
  • Training:

    • Residency-trained pathologist.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Fellowship Training:

    • Fellowship trained in a pathology specialty with 1 year of clinical practice or industry experience.
  • Technical Expertise:

    • Prior experience in immunohistochemistry, cytology, molecular pathology, and genetics.
