Job Title: Senior SAS Programmer


Job Overview

We are seeking a Senior SAS Programmer responsible for designing, developing, validating, and documenting SAS programs to support clinical study data analysis and reporting in compliance with regulatory guidelines.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, validate, and document SAS programs for summary tables, listings, graphs, and derived datasets per the Statistical Analysis Plan (SAP)

  • Create and validate Study Data Tabulation Model (SDTM) and Analysis Data Model (ADaM) datasets using tools like Pinnacle 21

  • Act as a core project team member managing all statistical programming activities

  • Design and specify overall programming approaches for project tasks

  • Liaise with clients, statisticians, and SAP teams for statistical programming input

  • Maintain programming tracking documentation and create/test SAS programs for clinical studies

  • Validate datasets, tables, listings, and graphs as per client specifications

  • Coordinate with clients and US teams on specification clarity, data issues, and schedules

  • Assist statisticians in the development and review of SAPs and programming specifications

  • Expert knowledge of SDTM and ADaM domains, including creation of CRTDDS (Define.xml), annotated CRFs, and Trial Design Model (TDM)

  • Follow SOPs and regulatory guidelines (ICH E9, E6, etc.)

  • Support multiple projects and create standard macros and applications to improve efficiency

  • Mentor junior programmers and conduct peer reviews

  • Continuously develop own skills as per Individual Development Plan

  • Promote best practices to enhance quality, efficiency, and productivity


Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience in SAS programming

  • Expertise in SDTM and ADaM datasets creation and validation

  • Familiarity with regulatory guidelines and submission standards

  • Strong communication and mentoring skills
