Job Summary

The Senior Regional Medical Advisor serves as the primary scientific face of the organization for key thought leaders and physicians within a designated geography and therapeutic area.
This role is responsible for executing the regional medical affairs strategy, driving scientific engagement, generating insights, and supporting optimal patient outcomes through medical education and evidence-based initiatives.


Key Responsibilities

Scientific Leadership & Strategy

  • Serve as a Therapeutic Area (TA) scientific expert, providing credible, evidence-based medical and scientific information to healthcare professionals (HCPs).

  • Identify, map, and engage key thought leaders (KOLs) within the assigned region and therapeutic area.

  • Support the development and execution of the annual Medical Affairs Strategy Plan, including disease awareness, medical education, and product-related initiatives.

  • Collaborate with therapy area leads to develop and implement strategic medical plans for identified products and disease areas.

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

  • Engage with leading specialists (physicians, pharmacists, hospital managers, scientific society board members, etc.) through peer-to-peer scientific discussions.

  • Represent Dr. Reddy’s in internal and external scientific platforms, such as advisory boards, symposia, and conferences.

  • Respond to scientific information requests from healthcare professionals accurately and compliantly.

  • Facilitate training sessions for sales and marketing teams on therapeutic advancements, new data, and clinical trends.

Evidence Generation & Publications

  • Collaborate with KOLs and investigators on therapy-specific studies, including meta-analyses, case reports, real-world evidence, and patient-reported outcomes.

  • Support the publication of scientific work in reputable peer-reviewed journals.

  • Identify knowledge, data, and practice gaps and translate insights into strategic action plans such as medical education, product education, or research initiatives.

Insights & Market Intelligence

  • Gather and analyze insights on disease trends, treatment patterns, and unmet needs to shape future strategy and product development.

  • Proactively conduct disease trend analyses and communicate findings to therapy area and commercial teams.

  • Contribute to new product ideation by identifying opportunities for differentiated or unmet needs through stakeholder interactions.

Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure all regional medical activities are executed in alignment with Dr. Reddy’s Code of Business Ethics (COBE) and compliance policies.

  • Oversee the timely and compliant approval of promotional, physician, and patient education materials per the company’s review procedures.

  • Uphold adherence to ethical standards and relevant regulatory guidelines governing medical and scientific engagement.


Qualifications & Experience

Education:

  • MBBS with a full-time postgraduate qualification (minimum 2-year duration) in any discipline of medicine
    OR

  • MBBS with MBA from a reputed institute

Experience:

  • Fresh postgraduate or up to 2 years of experience in field-based Medical Affairs preferred.
