Senior Principal Scientific Business Analyst – Hyderabad | Novartis
Job Summary:
Novartis is hiring a Senior Principal Scientific Business Analyst to help shape the future of biomedical research informatics. Based in Hyderabad, this position bridges the gap between cutting-edge life sciences research and modern informatics systems. The successful candidate will collaborate with research scientists and global cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deliver impactful software systems that drive innovative drug discovery. Ideal for professionals with 3–5 years of experience in life sciences, bioinformatics, or biotech software systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as a strategic liaison between scientific users and informatics teams
Lead requirements gathering, documentation, and analysis of research and clinical workflows
Translate scientific needs into software design and informatics strategies
Guide product roadmaps, development, and implementation of biomedical data tools
Ensure systems adhere to Novartis’ quality, compliance, and security standards
Host workshops and engage stakeholders across all organizational levels
Support GxP/validated system implementation in clinical and pre-clinical domains
Partner with cross-functional teams including UX, product managers, and developers
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Education: Advanced degree in biology, bioinformatics, biotechnology, or computer science
Experience: 3–5 years in a scientific or biotech software system design role
Strong understanding of GxP/validated systems in clinical settings
Certified or formal training in Business Analysis (preferred)
Experience in agile methodologies using Jira and Confluence
Excellent facilitation, communication, and documentation skills
Ability to analyze complex scientific problems and define digital solutions
Fluent in written and spoken English
