Senior Principal Pharmacometrician | Cambridge, MA / East Hanover, NJ (Hybrid)

Job Summary:

Novartis is seeking a Senior Principal Pharmacometrician to lead global pharmacometric strategy and modeling in support of clinical development. This role is vital for applying model-informed drug development (MIDD) strategies and contributing to regulatory submissions, dose optimization, and clinical trial design. Based in Cambridge, MA or East Hanover, NJ, this is a hybrid position (3 days/week onsite) offering a competitive salary between $119,700 and $222,300 per year.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead global pharmacometric support for clinical programs of low to mid complexity

  • Apply PK/PD modeling, disease progression modeling, and simulation techniques

  • Translate biological and clinical data into actionable insights for development strategy

  • Develop regulatory submission strategies including summaries and responses

  • Integrate Real World Data into pharmacometric analyses for evidence generation

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with statisticians, data managers, and medical writers

  • Communicate modeling outcomes and implications to internal and external stakeholders


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in pharmacology, biology, engineering, mathematics, or statistics

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in clinical drug development with PK/PD modeling

  • Expertise in NLME modeling, dose-exposure-response analysis, and trial simulations

  • Experience applying MIDD strategies in various therapeutic areas

  • Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and regulatory interactions
