Role Summary

As the Senior Principal Analyst in Economic Modelling, you will be integral to the development and communication of high-quality health economic and outcomes research (HEOR) and real-world evidence (RWE). This role involves working with multidisciplinary teams to support drug development, health technology assessments (HTA), and clinical decision-making processes. Your focus will be on executing health economics analysis, adapting economic models, and preparing documents for health technology assessments. The ideal candidate will have experience in health outcomes research, with the ability to communicate complex scientific data effectively and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities

Document Preparation & Management (75%)

  • Plan, write, edit, and review economic models, technical reports, and HTA documents.
  • Conduct quality checks to ensure data accuracy in economic models.
  • Revise economic models based on internal and external feedback, and prepare the final version with associated reports.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and smooth development of models and reports.
  • Manage timelines and adjust content as necessary based on project needs.
  • Collect and analyze information from multiple sources to generate insights with supervision.
  • Participate in global economic model development and adapt models as per country-specific requirements.

Knowledge & Skills Development (20%)

  • Continuously enhance your knowledge in economic modelling, health economics software, and programming skills.
  • Maintain an understanding of health outcomes-related research, including RWE and patient-reported outcome studies.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the therapeutic areas, compounds, and the external healthcare environment, including competitors.

Customer Focus (5%)

  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to tailor economic models to their specific requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with relevant stakeholders, ensuring their needs are understood and addressed.
  • Participate in internal training activities and team-building initiatives to support a collaborative work environment.

Basic Qualifications

  • Master’s in Health Economics/HTA or equivalent, preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience or knowledge in health outcomes research.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to adapt to diverse working styles.
  • Excellent attention to detail, ensuring data accuracy and quality in reports.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to anticipate and address challenges.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex scientific information clearly and concisely.
  • Experience in developing or adapting economic models.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel (including Visual Basics) and other related economic modelling software.

Additional Skills & Preferences

  • Graduate degree in life sciences, clinical pharmacology, or a related field.
  • Knowledge or experience in therapeutic areas such as neuroscience, immunology, oncology, or endocrinology is a plus.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Experience in programming and software typically used for health economic modelling.
