Job Summary:

The Senior Medical Editor is responsible for copyediting, data integrity reviews, and project oversight across a variety of regulatory and clinical documents, ensuring compliance with FDA, EU, and internal quality standards. This is a remote position focused on accuracy, mentorship, and medical writing collaboration.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure documents meet FDA, EU, ICH, and ISO standards.

  • Represent editorial team in project meetings and cross-functional collaborations.

  • Provide training and mentorship to editing and writing staff globally.

  • Lead large/complex medical writing projects, including scheduling and internal coordination.

  • Review documents for grammar, consistency, formatting, and adherence to AMA or custom styles.

  • Conduct data integrity checks for accuracy.

  • Support process improvements and contribute to SOP updates.

  • Manage projects independently, ensuring timely, budget-conscious delivery.

  • Edit SOPs and business documents within the Asset Writing team.

  • Compile and publish deliverables as needed.


Qualifications:

  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, English, journalism, or related field.

  • Experience with Adobe Acrobat, ISIToolbox, or similar markup/publishing tools preferred.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Strong grammar, attention to detail, and data validation skills.

  • Excellent written and oral communication.

  • Familiarity with AMA style (strongly preferred).

  • Knowledge of FDA, EU, and ICH guidelines preferred.

  • Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

  • Flexible and team-oriented mindset.
