Role Overview

Lambda Therapeutic Research is seeking a Senior Executive – Process Sciences to lead upstream process development for monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) within the Process Sciences group. The role focuses on planning and executing aseptic unit operations, cell culture handling, and upstream processing activities for clinical-grade drug substance development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Independently execute and plan mAb upstream processing activities in a GLP/GMP environment.

  • Aseptic handling of mammalian cell culture and sterile operations.

  • Operate disposable mini bioreactors and glass laboratory bioreactors with minimal supervision.

  • Prepare media, feeds, supplements, and perform sterile filtration.

  • Conduct in-process analysis using automated bioanalyzers and automated cell counters.

  • Perform clone, media, and feed screening using ABMR 15, AMBR 250 mini bioreactors, and shake flasks.

  • Optimize upstream processes in laboratory-scale bioreactors (5L–10L).

  • Apply basic DOE (Design of Experiments) principles, data trending, and data analysis.

  • Maintain proper documentation, ensure QA compliance, and present technical data effectively.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support process development and troubleshooting.

Experience Required

  • 2–6 years of experience in developing mAb upstream processes from mammalian cell lines within biopharma, biotech, or contract research labs.

  • Prior experience in leading a small team in upstream processing is preferred.

Educational Qualification

  • M.Sc, M.Tech, or Ph.D. in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or equivalent life sciences discipline.
