Salary Range: $235,000 – $256,500 (plus bonus & equity)

Role Summary

The Senior Director, Clinical Finance will lead the financial strategy for Eikon’s clinical programs, overseeing financial planning, budgeting, and accounting related to clinical trials. This role involves working closely with clinical operations, R&D, and executive leadership to provide insights that support decision-making and ensure the financial success of clinical programs.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with clinical program goals

  • Lead financial planning processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial modeling

  • Oversee financial operations of clinical trials, including budgeting, site payments, and vendor management

  • Manage financial oversight of global clinical trials ensuring efficiency, compliance, and cost-effectiveness

  • Create and maintain financial models to support accurate forecasting and scenario analysis

  • Provide strategic insights to senior leadership to guide business decisions

  • Ensure compliance with financial reporting standards and regulatory guidelines

  • Implement process improvements to enhance financial operations and accuracy

  • Support strategic initiatives such as mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, and licensing deals

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team


Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience in financial planning & analysis, with a focus on clinical finance (biopharma/healthcare)

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred

  • Expertise in clinical trial operations, budgeting, and CRO financial oversight

  • Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and long-term planning skills

  • Proven ability to collaborate with non-finance teams while maintaining financial integrity

  • Experience leading finance teams in high-growth environments

  • Knowledge of financial reporting requirements for publicly traded companies

  • Proficiency with ERP systems and financial reporting tools
