Job Summary
Pfizer is seeking a Senior Associate Scientist to join its cutting-edge Analytical Development team in Chennai. Key Responsibilities
Design and execute complex analytical experiments and development protocols.
Operate and maintain instruments such as HPLC, UPLC, GC, IC, UV, FTIR.
Lead analytical method development, validation, and transfer activities.
Conduct peer reviews to ensure scientific rigor and data integrity.
Serve as a technical expert within project teams.
Develop innovative solutions to complex analytical problems.
Prioritize and manage multiple R&D projects effectively.
Provide risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
Ensure compliance with cGMP, GDP, and EHS regulations.
Promote a culture of continuous scientific improvement and quality.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Education: M.Sc. in Chemistry or M.Pharm
Experience: 3–7 years in analytical R&D in pharma/biotech
Proficiency in analytical tools: HPLC/UPLC, GC, IC, UV, FTIR
Deep understanding of cGMP, GDP, ICH guidelines
Strong analytical thinking, troubleshooting, and decision-making
Hands-on experience in method development and validation
Ability to manage multiple projects and scientific teams
Familiarity with pharmaceutical regulatory expectations
