Job Summary

Pfizer is seeking a Senior Associate Scientist to join its cutting-edge Analytical Development team in Chennai. Key Responsibilities

  • Design and execute complex analytical experiments and development protocols.

  • Operate and maintain instruments such as HPLC, UPLC, GC, IC, UV, FTIR.

  • Lead analytical method development, validation, and transfer activities.

  • Conduct peer reviews to ensure scientific rigor and data integrity.

  • Serve as a technical expert within project teams.

  • Develop innovative solutions to complex analytical problems.

  • Prioritize and manage multiple R&D projects effectively.

  • Provide risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans.

  • Ensure compliance with cGMP, GDP, and EHS regulations.

  • Promote a culture of continuous scientific improvement and quality.


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Education: M.Sc. in Chemistry or M.Pharm

  • Experience: 3–7 years in analytical R&D in pharma/biotech

  • Proficiency in analytical tools: HPLC/UPLC, GC, IC, UV, FTIR

  • Deep understanding of cGMP, GDP, ICH guidelines

  • Strong analytical thinking, troubleshooting, and decision-making

  • Hands-on experience in method development and validation

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and scientific teams

  • Familiarity with pharmaceutical regulatory expectations
