Purpose:

The Senior/Associate in Global Medical Information (GMI) is responsible for managing medical information strategies, providing accurate and timely responses to unsolicited medical inquiries, and improving the customer experience at the first touchpoint. This role involves working across various regions and therapeutic areas, focusing on innovative solutions for delivering medical information to customers via different channels.

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Relationship Management:

    • Build and maintain successful relationships within compound and cross-functional teams.
    • Collaborate across regions and geographies, as well as with alliance partners and vendors, to ensure quality deliverables.
  2. Medical Information Portfolio Management:

    • Manage a global portfolio of Medical Information responses, including:
      • Medical letters
      • FAQs
      • Slide kits
      • Literature searches
      • Publications
      • Webpages
    • Respond to unsolicited verbal and written Medical Information inquiries from healthcare professionals (HCPs) and consumers in a prompt, accurate, and compliant manner.
  3. Customer Experience & Insights:

    • Meet or exceed customer satisfaction objectives.
    • Utilize customer insights to drive the Medical Information strategy.
    • Deliver an omnichannel content strategy to provide medical information across preferred customer channels.
  4. Training & Support:

    • Participate in ongoing comprehensive product/disease area training for affiliate and call center partners.
    • Serve as the Medical Information expert for the assigned therapeutic area.
    • Provide staffing support at scientific congresses and deliver expertise at the Medical Information booth.
  5. Coaching & Transformation:

    • Coach team members on specific deliverables and processes.
    • Participate in transformational initiatives to improve processes.

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

  • Educational/Work History:
    • Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare profession (e.g., Pharmacy, Medicine) with at least 2 years of industry experience OR
    • Master’s degree in a healthcare profession OR
    • PhD with work in the designated therapeutic area.
  • Skills & Experience:
    • Mastery of written and professional verbal English skills.
    • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to be adaptable in diverse environments.
    • Ability to assimilate and communicate large volumes of medical information objectively.
    • Proficient in literature search and review to provide evidence-based responses.
    • Adaptable to emerging technologies in medical information resources, content management, and customer interaction systems.
    • High-level end-user computer skills (e.g., databases, word processing, spreadsheets, PowerPoint).
