About the Antibody Team:
The Antibody team focuses on engineering and developing antibodies, emphasizing reagent quality and specificity. Key activities include the design, development, purification, conjugation, and testing of antibodies in immunoassay applications. The program aims to develop sophisticated products and create product-specific information to enhance research.

Role Overview:
As a Scientist II, Protein Biology, you will be a critical part of the antibody development team, using innovative molecular, protein, and cell biology methods to drive protein biology advancements and facilitate successful antibody development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute in a fast-paced environment towards antibody screening and validation.

  • Lead projects or workflows in new antibody development programs with expertise in experimental planning and execution.

  • Design and execute experiments, interpret data, and present findings.

  • Drive the conceptualization of successful protocols and ensure effective transfer to functional teams.

  • Serve as a domain authority in protein biology, driving innovation and cross-team collaborations.

  • Support commercialization processes from concept to launch, including early feasibility, development, and validation.

  • Provide technical guidance and support to manufacturing teams to ensure quality and resolve technical challenges.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education: Master's with 5+ years of relevant experience, or PhD with 2+ years in a life sciences field focused on protein biology, protein design, biophysical characterization, molecular biology, immunology, biotechnology, or biochemistry.

  • Experience:

    • Expertise in antibody/protein design, biophysical characterization, and protein purification using advanced methods like AKTA, NGC, SEC-HPLC, and RP-HPLC.

    • Knowledge in protein biology, protein expression, protein purification, and protein-protein interaction.

    • Proficiency in molecular biology workflows, including PCR, cloning, and sequencing.

    • Strong background in biochemical and immunoassay workflows such as ELISA, SDS-PAGE, Western blotting, IF, and IHC.

    • Experience in antibody conjugation development is a plus.

    • Proficiency with statistical software such as GraphPad Prism.

    • Prior project leadership experience is preferred.
