About the Role

Indegene, a technology-driven healthcare solutions provider, is seeking a Scientific Editor to join our high-performance team. This role is ideal for professionals passionate about scientific content accuracy, editorial excellence, and healthcare communications. You will be responsible for reviewing, refining, and ensuring the scientific integrity of medical and healthcare content while collaborating closely with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review L-MACH content for grammar, punctuation, style, and clarity, ensuring scientific accuracy and consistency.

  • Critically evaluate the relevance and accuracy of scientific information, including data, charts, and tables, and ensure proper interpretation of statistical content.

  • Use editorial, proofreading, and referencing tools, as well as document management and file-sharing systems efficiently.

  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, addressing editorial queries and providing constructive feedback.

  • Adapt to updates in guidelines, regulations, SOPs, tools, and workflows, maintaining flexibility in handling revisions.

  • Mentor and train junior editors or team members on editorial standards, scientific accuracy, and best practices.

  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy review across all content outputs.


Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience: 4–5 years of relevant experience in scientific editing, medical writing, or healthcare communications.

  • Strong editing and proofreading skills with keen attention to detail.

  • Proficiency in data interpretation, charts, and statistical presentation.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

  • Ability to adapt to changing guidelines and effectively manage revisions.

  • Knowledge of medical SOPs, MCA procedures, and compliance standards.

  • Analytical thinking and subject matter expertise in healthcare and life sciences.

  • Proficiency in English and scientific language conventions.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in mentoring or training editorial teams.

  • Familiarity with global healthcare content standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Experience in document management systems and collaborative content platforms.
