Job Overview

This role supports medical and scientific activities in cardiovascular imaging for clinical research studies.

You will act as a subject matter expert (SME) in cardiovascular imaging, contributing to clinical trial design, scientific documentation, regulatory support, and imaging-related workflows.

The role is highly specialized and combines clinical research, imaging science, and operational support in regulated environments.


Key Responsibilities

1. Subject Matter Expertise (Cardiovascular Imaging)

  • Act as SME for cardiovascular imaging modalities:

    • Echocardiography (Echo)

    • Cardiac MRI (CMR)

    • Coronary CT Angiography (CCTA)

  • Provide technical and scientific guidance across projects


2. Clinical Study Design & Protocol Review

  • Review sponsor protocols

  • Define:

    • Imaging requirements

    • Read criteria

    • Workflow design

  • Support development of operational imaging strategies


3. Business Development Support

  • Review and support Requests for Proposals (RFPs)

  • Assist Business Development and Contracts teams

  • Support bid defenses and client presentations

  • Contribute to increasing sales in therapeutic area


4. Scientific Documentation & Reporting

  • Develop:

    • Study procedure manuals

    • Imaging charters

    • Training documents

    • End-of-study reports

    • SOPs

  • Contribute to scientific papers and editorials


5. Client & Stakeholder Interaction

  • Act as liaison with physician reader groups

  • Establish client imaging partnerships

  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders


6. Imaging Operations Support

  • Support therapeutic area operations teams

  • Provide technical input on imaging workflows

  • Ensure imaging quality, data consistency, and compliance


7. Software & System Support

  • Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT)

  • Support development of imaging software tools

  • Serve as liaison for reading systems and vendors


8. Training & Knowledge Sharing

  • Train employees on imaging modalities and systems

  • Participate in internal and external training programs

  • Attend industry conferences and workshops


9. Process Improvement & Innovation

  • Identify improvements in imaging efficiency

  • Develop better interpretation techniques

  • Support innovation in imaging workflows and analysis


10. Issue Resolution & Quality Management

  • Address image quality issues and data discrepancies

  • Coordinate with departments for issue resolution

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and operational standards


Required Qualifications

  • Degree in:

    • Science

    • Health-related field

    • Or equivalent experience

  • Modality-specific training required:

    • Echo / CMR / CCTA


Experience Required

  • Minimum 5 years in:

    • Clinical research

    • Imaging-related field

  • Experience in cardiovascular imaging strongly preferred


Key Skills Required

  • Strong knowledge of cardiovascular imaging principles

  • Understanding of:

    • Imaging acquisition

    • Reconstruction methods

    • Imaging analysis and measurement

  • Strong communication skills (English required)

  • Ability to work independently and in teams

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Ability to manage changing priorities

  • Professional and positive attitude


Technical Skills

  • Strong computer literacy

  • Experience with imaging systems/software tools (preferred)


Regulatory Knowledge

  • Good Clinical Practice (GCP) understanding

  • Clinical trial compliance awareness

  • Experience in regulated research environments
