Position Summary:
We are seeking a Scientific Editor to review, edit, and proofread pharmaceutical promotional and disease education content, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with regulatory and style guidelines. The ideal candidate will have expertise in scientific content editing, strong attention to detail, and proficiency in managing complex documents across multiple platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Copyedit marketing and educational materials following AMA style, brand guidelines, and SOPs.

  • Identify and correct errors in spelling, punctuation, trademark, ISI, part numbers, dates, and formatting.

  • Ensure changes are implemented correctly and that no additional errors are introduced during the review process.

  • Maintain and manage the Editorial Style Guide for consistency across materials.

  • For print materials: confirm approval status, verify layout against approved versions, ensure all changes are incorporated, and coordinate with stakeholders on the content status.

  • Proofread materials to ensure compliance with Veeva-approved copy standards.

  • Collaborate with PRC specialists for escalating significant editorial errors or issues.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life Sciences or related field.

  • Experience: 2–4 years of experience proofreading and editing pharmaceutical promotional or disease education content.

  • Strong command of written and oral English.

  • Proficient in US and UK English editorial standards.

  • Familiarity with AMA Manual of Style, Chicago Manual of Style, and other scientific style guides.

  • Solid understanding of medical and scientific terminology and industry-specific jargon.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with regulatory and marketing compliance in pharmaceutical content.

  • Ability to manage multiple documents and deliver high-quality outputs within tight timelines.

  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
