About the Team – Global M&S Services

The Global M&S Services team is a cornerstone of Sanofi’s efforts in regulatory compliance and product stewardship. The team supports:

  • Regulatory compliance activities.

  • Maintenance of product licenses.

  • Technical writing of CMC documents.

This team collaborates globally to ensure quality, compliance, and safety with a focus on technical writing and product stewardship.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of experts to enhance performance in managing Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and specifications within SAP-EHS.

  • Oversee the SDS management process, ensuring timely updates to prevent occupational, environmental, or process safety risks.

  • Provide strategic regulatory advice to businesses regarding compliance with chemical and product safety regulations (classification, labelling, packaging, transport, local laws).

  • Collaborate with the Global Product Stewardship team on SDS editing and maintenance using IT tools.

  • Independently evaluate and validate substance data for classification and labelling (GHS/CLP, Seveso, transport).

  • Document product stewardship information (SDS versions, hazard classification, supporting data, references, reports).

  • Conduct substance data searches and maintain internal substance databases.

  • Communicate results and conclusions effectively (oral and written) with sites and business units.


About You

Experience

  • 10+ years of industry experience, including 5+ years in Product Stewardship.

  • Minimum 2 years leading a team in the EHS field.

  • Proven experience in product safety, chemical laws, and hazard classification.

  • Strong background in writing and interpreting Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS/SDS).

Soft Skills

  • Ability to assess and prioritize compliance risks.

  • Strong sense of responsibility, critical thinking, and problem-solving.

  • Up-to-date knowledge of compliance changes and chemical regulations.

  • Skilled at providing clear, concise explanations.

  • Strong planning and organizational abilities.

Technical Skills

  • Expertise in national/international regulatory aspects (ECHA guidance for SDS editing).

  • Proficiency in SAP-EHS and its integration with SAP ERP.

  • Experience with SERC – SAP EHS Regulatory Content (3E ERC EHS Regulatory Content).

  • Certified IATA training for Dangerous Goods Transportation.

  • (Preferred) Knowledge of:

    • Toxicology / pharma toxicology.

    • Use of AI tools (e.g., Opesus) for SDS design.

    • Extended SDS, Biocides, biological agents, biosafety.

Education

  • Minimum: Master’s degree in a Science or Technical discipline.

Languages

  • Fluency in English (verbal and written).
