Job Overview
Fortrea, one of the largest Clinical Research Organizations globally, is seeking Research Technicians to support the Clinical Pharmacology Start-up team in initiating Early Phase clinical trials. This role offers hands-on experience with participants, allowing direct contribution to patient care while supporting the evaluation of drug safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics.
Key Responsibilities
1. Participant Care & Clinical Procedures
Provide high standard of care for participants and respond to emergency situations per clinical research standards.
Perform vital signs: blood pressure, pulse, respiratory rate, weight, and temperature.
Conduct venipuncture and collect biological samples per protocol; ensure proper processing and distribution.
Prepare and accurately record ECGs/Holters.
Monitor participant meals for dietary compliance.
2. Study Preparation & Support
Assist with preparation of rooms and medical equipment.
Support screening procedures as needed.
Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient study environment.
Undertake other duties as required.
3. Work Environment Requirements
Adapt to fast-paced environment where strict adherence to study protocol is critical.
Handle changing priorities and rapidly adapt to new tasks.
Collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Work in a technology-driven setting, with electronic data collection systems.
Qualifications
Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
0–1 year of clinical research experience (recent graduates or recent clinical experience considered).
Comfortable in a fast-paced, team-oriented, technology-based environment.
Preferred:
Certifications: EMT, Phlebotomy, CMA, or CNA.
Previous clinical experience is ideal but not required.
