Job Overview

Fortrea, one of the largest Clinical Research Organizations globally, is seeking Research Technicians to support the Clinical Pharmacology Start-up team in initiating Early Phase clinical trials. This role offers hands-on experience with participants, allowing direct contribution to patient care while supporting the evaluation of drug safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics.


Key Responsibilities

1. Participant Care & Clinical Procedures

  • Provide high standard of care for participants and respond to emergency situations per clinical research standards.

  • Perform vital signs: blood pressure, pulse, respiratory rate, weight, and temperature.

  • Conduct venipuncture and collect biological samples per protocol; ensure proper processing and distribution.

  • Prepare and accurately record ECGs/Holters.

  • Monitor participant meals for dietary compliance.

2. Study Preparation & Support

  • Assist with preparation of rooms and medical equipment.

  • Support screening procedures as needed.

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient study environment.

  • Undertake other duties as required.

3. Work Environment Requirements

  • Adapt to fast-paced environment where strict adherence to study protocol is critical.

  • Handle changing priorities and rapidly adapt to new tasks.

  • Collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.

  • Work in a technology-driven setting, with electronic data collection systems.


Qualifications

Required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • 0–1 year of clinical research experience (recent graduates or recent clinical experience considered).

  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, team-oriented, technology-based environment.

Preferred:

  • Certifications: EMT, Phlebotomy, CMA, or CNA.

  • Previous clinical experience is ideal but not required.
