Position Overview

ProPharma is seeking a Clinical Research Nurse (CRN) to provide direct clinical services and support in clinical research studies. This role involves delivering study-specific services, working with patients outside of the investigator site, completing source documentation, ensuring compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP), and maintaining communication regarding patient safety.


Key Responsibilities

Study-Related Tasks:

  • Complete study-specific training, including GCP and IATA (dangerous goods) training.
  • Provide quality Direct Clinical Visits (DCVs) to patients at locations outside of the investigator site (e.g., homes, offices, schools).
  • Collaborate with the Director of Nursing and the GoClinical Clinician Manager to develop solutions for complex clinical research problems.
  • Complete source documentation during DCVs in adherence to Good Documentation Practice, ensuring timely submission to the project team.
  • Communicate patient safety concerns and issues to the GCPM, GCPC, and investigator site as needed.

Clinical & Operational Tasks:

  • Perform assigned nursing tasks, which may require the lifting of equipment up to 25lbs.
  • Transport necessary supplies and equipment (e.g., centrifuge, ECG machine) to patient locations for DCVs.
  • Ensure the organization and prioritization of tasks based on study protocol and visit parameters.
  • Remain adaptable and flexible to schedule changes and travel with limited notice, including afterhours or weekend visits.

Qualifications

Education & Licensure:

  • Active, unencumbered RN licensure or certification in the US.
  • Multistate practice/licensure is preferred, where applicable.
  • Minimum of 2 years post-graduate nursing experience.
  • Clinical research experience is preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic clinical environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and Google applications.
  • Willingness to learn proprietary eSource software.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize based on study requirements.
  • Consistent preparedness for visits and troubleshooting potential issues.
