Position Overview:
We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our clinical trial team in Fishkill, NY. This role involves conducting Direct Clinical Visits (DCVs), managing patient care outside traditional investigator sites, and ensuring compliance with study protocols and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will have clinical research experience, pediatric knowledge, and the ability to work in a flexible, patient-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Complete study-specific training requirements including GCP, IATA (dangerous goods), and protocol-specific modules.
Conduct DCVs at patient locations such as homes, schools, or offices, ensuring quality and patient safety.
Collaborate with the Director of Nursing and Clinician Manager to implement clinical and research best practices.
Document patient interactions and procedures in accordance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP), submitting records to project teams promptly.
Communicate clinical issues and patient safety concerns to GCP Managers and investigator sites as needed.
Safely manage and transport clinical equipment (up to 25 lbs), including ECG machines and centrifuges, ensuring readiness for all visits.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
Active, unencumbered RN licensure in the United States. Multistate licensure preferred.
Minimum 2+ years of post-graduate nursing experience; clinical research experience preferred.
Pediatric clinical experience is highly desirable.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
Must reside in or near Fishkill, NY, with access to reliable transportation.
Preferred Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
Adaptable to schedule changes, process updates, and travel requirements with limited notice.
Experience with MS Office Suite and Google applications; willingness to learn proprietary eSource software.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with attention to protocol-specific visit requirements.
Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Additional Information:
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Ability to work occasional after-hours or weekend visits as needed.
