Associate Medical Director – Remote (USA) | Cadent, A Syneos Health Company

Job Summary:
Cadent, a premier medical communications agency within Syneos Health, is hiring a Remote Associate Medical Director to lead high-level scientific content development across therapeutic areas. Ideal for PhDs, MDs, or PharmDs with medical communications experience, this strategic role blends deep scientific acumen with content leadership in a fast-paced, client-facing environment. Candidates will drive educational initiatives, manage stakeholder interactions, and ensure precision in clinical messaging—impacting how therapies are delivered and perceived in the healthcare industry.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Create scientific content: slide decks, scientific platforms, advisory board materials, and publications

  • Align content strategy with client objectives and scientific accuracy

  • Conduct literature research and background analysis on disease areas

  • Source-reference all scientific materials and support regulatory review processes

  • Respond to stakeholder feedback and update materials accordingly

  • Mentor junior team members and lead cross-functional collaboration

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through strategic input

  • Represent Cadent in client meetings, conferences, and advisory boards (10–15% travel)

  • Stay current with clinical trial data and therapeutic trends in oncology, ophthalmology, immunology, and beyond


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree: PhD, MD, or PharmD

  • 2–3 years of experience in pharmaceutical or medical communications agencies

  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills

  • Experience managing multiple projects with tight deadlines

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

  • Ability to communicate complex science to various healthcare audiences

Desired Skills:

  • Familiarity with EndNote for reference management

  • Experience using Prism GraphPad for data visualization
