Role Overview

Join us as a Public Affairs - Trainee and contribute to shaping policies and fostering collaborations that benefit patients living with diabetes and rare diseases. In this role, you will advocate for public affairs initiatives, build strategic partnerships, and develop innovative healthcare programmes to expand Novo Nordisk’s impact.


Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning and Advocacy

  • Align Public Affairs strategic plans with Novo Nordisk India’s strategy for diabetes and rare diseases.
  • Advocate for policies and initiatives that enhance Novo Nordisk’s position in the healthcare sector.

Stakeholder Engagement and Partnerships

  • Manage public affairs initiatives at the state and NGO levels.
  • Liaise with government officials to foster strategic partnerships and support policy development.
  • Engage with public officials, payers, academics, and other key stakeholders to build positive relationships.
  • Drive public-private partnership (PPP) projects with state and central governments.
  • Manage partnership opportunities to expand Novo Nordisk’s healthcare reach.

Policy and Intelligence Development

  • Monitor the public affairs landscape, including healthcare system changes and competitive access.
  • Develop and implement strategic policy engagement plans aligned with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with public affairs teams in India, APAC, and International Operations (IO).

Project Management

  • Lead planning and execution of Community Diabetes Behavioural (CDB) projects, including defining scope, goals, and deliverables.
  • Develop innovative healthcare programmes and campaigns to expand patient access.

Qualifications

Essential Criteria

  • Educational Background: MBA (preferably in Healthcare, Medical, or Pharmaceutical domain).
  • Experience: 0-2 years (freshers are welcome to apply).
  • Strong communication and project management skills.
  • Ability to develop and sustain collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in public relations, government relations, or investor relations.
  • Understanding of public affairs strategies and healthcare systems.
  • Ability to innovate and adapt in a rapidly evolving environment.
